| | Abstract: | The most serious disbility from which patients with leprosy suffer is sensory loss since it results in the formation of trophic ulcers, infections, burns and loss of portions of limbs. Impaired motor function can be partially restored by tendon transposition and physiotherapy, but no successful remedy has been devised for the treatment of the sensory disability.(AU).
